Hi,

I've got a line on a ford 1720, 28hp tractor and I'm wondering about it's ability to plow a field. Doe it have enough jam to pull a plow?

I've only got about 5 acres to plow and once I've managed to reseed it its not going to be used for much harder work than plowing snow and running a brush hog.

I have a Ford 1700 4x4 which is an earilier model of a 1720. Specs still look the same.
Attachments available for my 1700 printed in an accessory manual:

soil breaking: #101, 2 bottom plow 14 or 16 inch.

My thoughts only, depending on the type of soil, if sandy bottom you may be able to use the 16". If hard soil not worked up much use the 14". You won't get a lot of speed but it will work. Five acres will take a while. Plan on a whole day or more.

I have a full list of Ford recommended equipment if you need more information such as sizes that will work on this tractor.
