Ford 1720 rear axle seal

Hello, I need to replace the rear axle seal on my 1720. From the parts breakdown, it looks like I need to remove the wheel shaft case, remove the nut from the end of the axle, pull the axle out, replace the seal then put everything back together. Does this sound about right? Are there any tricky things I need to be careful of? Looks fairly straight forward, I have medium mechanical skills and tools. Just don't want to get it taken apart then run into problems.

hey there. I know this post is from awhile back, but I have to replace the same seal, i believe.

New Holland 1720 - 3 CYL COMPACT TRACTOR 20 SERIES(01/87 - 04/02) Parts Diagrams

was it part #10 that you replaces? the seal in front of the ball bearing? If so, how did you get the shaft removed? did you have to take off the rear axle housing?

Sorry that link is incorrect. the attached picture is the right part diagram. I need to replace part #10
