Ford 1710 owner

I live in South West Florida between Sarasota and Fort Myers. I recently purchased a Ford 1710 tractor with blade and loader. The first thing I did was purchase the (genuine) Ford shop manual as well as the I&T shop manual for the 1710. I am looking forward to this forum as a good resource.

I was replacing all the fluids and ran across some interesting problems. I cannot find anything local. The hydraulic filter was a WIX 51736 but Fram-WIX cross reference jumps from 51735 to 51740. I did find some hydraulic filters online, WIX 51736 & Napa 1736. The engine oil filter was painted over, so I do not have a reference, but it looks identical to a Fram PH43. The internet search for the engine oil filter got E1NN6714BB as well as 86546613, 86546613CDS and 86546613DS NEW HOLLAND, Trac OF2504. I could use some help with part numbers and where to get parts.

The fuel filter is more difficult as it is a metal and paper element that fits inside of a sediment housing. It is 2.262" long, 1.32" in diameter and the entrance hole is .515 (13mm). Does anyone know what this filter is or where to get a replacement?

If you go to napaonline.com and select a new vehicle, they have Tractors/Agricultural type in their drop-down box.
The 1710 should be listed in the 1983-1986 years (looks like they have all of the filters).

Also, messicks.com has parts diagrams in their New Holland section where you can get all of the Ford/New Holland part numbers.
Then do a google search on the part numbers and you should get some hits.
If you have a local New Holland dealer they should have the filters too (and some replacement parts if they are still available).
Be sure to check Messick's for prices on parts to prevent sticker shock if you ever venture out to the New Holland dealer (ex $1,000 starters).

I get all the filters for my 1710 at NAPA. Be aware there are two different sizes of hydraulic filters and I couldn't find a way to tell which one I had until I pulled the old one off.

I did some research and this is my filter cross reference for a Ford 1710 Tractor w / Diesel Engine. As far as I know it is accurate. I bought all the filters online except for the Fram PH43 which I got locally, since I determined it was an acceptable replacement for the engine oil filter (see specs at end of post).

As Tabasco Jack's states, just go down to NAPA. I get all my filters from them for my 1710. The Hydraulic, they had to order and it took a day or two but they had it.
