I am going to return the starter. Try another one. Too much money to have repair something that is supposed to be new.

Don't you have an auto electric shop where you live? Most even small towns have one. Look for an Old Guy in a shack in the low rent district surrounded by piles of starters and alternators.... Std. price for a starter rebuild is a solenoid plus 2 bearings and a hundred bucks.
A rebuilt OEM starter is far superior to an aftermarket starter.
