I have 1700 Ford with black oil coming out one of the exhaust ports, no smoke, changed valve seals, still coming out. I read on the forum before I became a member. someone had this same problem, but the member never posted if the problem got solved.I think the members title started with an A. It starts spitting about 4 minutes after start up. Starts up great. Thanks

not smoking. are you saying an exhaust port of the head? my first thought was head gasket leaking between an oil port and exhaust port

It is a 2 cyl I can see up the one port in the head. is there a place in the head gasket that can do that? I am new at this forum hope I am doing everything ok thanks for the reply

I would pull the exhaust manifold and take a look around before you go replacing the head gasket on a hope and a prayer. You may just find it coming out of one cylinder.

Is your puke tube (valve cover vent) open and free?
