Ford 1700
I have a ford 1700 with a 770 loader. I would like to know the GPM for the hydraulic valve ( 2 spool ) that came with that model tractor. Had the old one rebuilt but it still leaks. now I am looking to buy a new or later model rebuilt valve .::)

Is it possible to use my old two levers instead of the joystick,or can I put a 90 deg bend in the handle.:anyone:

You can do both.

You know you can mount the valve at any angle.

Build a bracket accordingly.

I went with the 10 gpm unit that JJ mentioned. LOVE IT !!
It's like night and day compared to the old 2-lever and would NEVER go back.
I sat in the seat and used a clamp (with pads) to hold the valve against the tower to figure out the best angle for me.
Then I cut and drilled a plate for the valve to bolt to, welded angle iron to both sides of the tower extending out from flush to allow room for the heads of the bolts. Bolted the valve to the plate, then the plate to the angle iron. As you can see I had to insert 2 of the angle iron bolts before bolting the valve to the plate. The 2 angle iron bolts on the other side of the tower were accessible with the valve in place.

Did you set the relief pressure for your pump?

It comes from the factory set at 2000 psi.

You also have regen and float.

KDE70, I dug out the 1700 manual and pump specs of the tractor are 5.3 gpm @ 2133 psi at 2500 rpm.
If you end up buying new, you might consider spending the extra $17 for the power beyond adapter (just so you have it).
Seems there are always people out their looking for a PB adapter for their specific controller, they get harder to find as time passes.

JJ, I did set the relief pressure.
Temporarily put a T on the bucket cylinder side with a gauge and backed off the allen screw under the cap to the 1500 psi setting that the loader manual listed. And might I add, many thanks for all of the great advice and knowledge you share with us, it is greatly appreciated !!
