Do you have to purge the hydraulic system on a Ford 1620 to release any air?
I have recently bought two Ford 1620 tractors in hopes to piece them together to make one good tractor. Both tractors have been mostly taken apart and all fluids have been drained, I have assembled one tractor and was able to get it started but it has no power. When first started I can usually lift the 3 point hitch once but then it struggles to do so again. I can then put it in gear and the tractor moves about 1/2 inch. Then nothing at all.
I have jacked up the rear end and put it on jack stands. "Sometimes" when I put it in gear I can get the tires to spin both forward and reverse obviously under no load and when it is off the ground and "sometimes" they will not spin at all.
