I have my tractor split for repairs. It has 1500hrs. Replaced bad clutch, center shaft in clutch disk was loose and springs were
rattling around. TO bearing was near perfect, replacing anyway. That explains some weird noises while engaging/disengaging clutch.
I hear faint gearbox noise sometimes while running and sometimes it is louder. A couple times I heard tight gear meshing as it was
shutting down. Are any gears meshing in the transmission at idle? It does creep forward a tiny bit when foot off pedal. I have the
hydro unit out but didn't open it yet, maybe today. I may pull the top covers off the transmission today too. I have a small amount of
fine gritty metal in HST filter and very fine metal in hydraulic filter. I have no issues with hydraulics or normal operation, no leaks or
anything, just noise and metal in filters, no issues or weird noises from engine. Does the HST filter only filter the hydro unit oil or
or all the gearbox oil too? Also, I was surprised to not see a pilot bearing even though clutch kits online include one. I think mine is a 95'.
