Oil & Fuel Ford 1210 won't start after maintenance

Bought my first tractor last fall, worked 40 hours or so to insure operation. Started and operated February, so fuel seems okay. After I cleaned the fuel filter (haven't found a matching replacement yet) and changed the oil and filter, it won't start back. Acted like it wasn't getting fuel. Attempted to bleed fuel lines all the way to the motor. Acted like it was going to start, and then my right glow light would come on (I believe it's a symbol for oil). Anything special I have to do after changing the oil?

I had a ford 1310 and when you change the fuel filter or run it out of fuel you will need to bleed the fuel line to get fuel back to the injector pump.
There should be some screws on the filter housing. If I remember correctly there is three of them. Start with the one closest to the fuel tank loosen it till fuel comes out then tighten and move to the next. When you have done all three follow the fuel line to the injector pump and there should be one more there do the same then start it up and it will run rough for a few seconds then clear up and you should be good to go. :thumbsup:

I agree with "600", it sounds like you need to bleed the system.

A common issue people have with bleeding, is that the lines are only just opened enough to let the air out. Open too far (or taken off) will allow air back in and it will never be good.

Thanks to you both. I believe air did back back into the system b/c I took the fuel lines all the way off. I'm recharging the battery, and I'll try again this evening just cracking the nuts.
