Ford 1210 No Start - No Idea Why

A quick note to say - problem solved.

Changed the hydraulic oil and it sparked into life. THe oil that came out was black and nasty. Put fresh in and its now running fine.

Bit annoyed I didnt just do that in the first place!

That's great news. I'd change all the fluids and filters before doing anything with it. If your hydraulic fluid really was black- it is a sign of serious years of neglect. Especially drain the gear oil from the front axle (if 4wd) and grease all the fittings and CV housings.

Is the hour meter only 3 digits and a tenths digit. My ford 1300 is showing 310.5 hours , but it really has 1310.5 hours.

Back in 83 when I bought this little 1100, it was the slickest thing for miles around. It was really the sticks out here in those days. Everybody was constantly borrowing it and in addition to mowing my 9AC, grading our 1/4 mi road, digging 400' of lateral line (yes, with the box blade) and taking the child bride to the store when I had our only car at work, we put nearly 300 hours on it in the first year.
