I have a 1986 Ford 1210 with around 950 hours. Earlier this spring while the tractor was idling engine started pumping out of the breather tube. Long story short, found the seal on the output shaft of the hydraulic pump that mounts to the engine went bad. Replaced the seal put everything back together, used it for about an hour moving mulch around. While idling again the same thing happened, the seal had moved forward. Took the pump apart to inspect it and could not find anything. Reassembled everything and the same thing has happened third a time. Could the pump be going bad or could something cause the system to over pressure and blow the seal out? I am going to test the PSI once I have it back together again. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have gone through the manual but don’t have a real answer that would cause it.
