Ford 1100 front drive axel parts wanted

I am trying to locate part # SBA326370190 pinion gear for the front drive axel on Ford 1100. the gear is no longer available from the dealer. Does any one know where I can locate a new or used one?

Try this place in western Kentucky:

Used salvaged tractor parts including John Deere, Ford, Kubota and other Japanese tractor part dealers

Ring and pinions are sold in mached sets. Even if you find a used pinion it won't match your ring gear perfectly and wont last. I looked on Messicks site and they listed a different part # than you have. You may want to doubble check your part #.

The New Holland web site has the parts drawings for our 1100 tractors. Here's what they show:

21 1 SBA322050170 PINION, DRIVE Pinion & Ring, Gear, 6 Pinion Teeth, 34 Ring Gear Teeth, Start Year: 01/01/1979

If you haven't tried their site, go to www.newholland.com, then select "North America" under the "Agricultural Business Area", then click the "parts and service" choice, then "search for parts", then use "1100" as the search choice, the 1100 tractor is there first (along with several other items that had 1100 in their name) then drill down through the selections.

Thanks for the information I was able to get my gear from the company in Kentucky. My 1100 will be up and running shortly.

Make sure when you install the new ring &pinion to set the preload on the pinion and the backlash on the ring gear.

For sure. I let a friend use my Ford 2120 once and he blew the front ring and pinion. A dealer (not mine) replaed the ring and pinion for $1600 and didn't set it right. It blew in a week. The one that replaced that is still going strong 10 years later.
