2005 2910 POS in the Winter
It was -5 degrees last week and now it's 75, I got the glow plugs changed out and it seems to start better now. I also went ahead an added a block heater so I'll be ready next time. Here's a list I'm compiling for getting parts, especially for the folks who don't have access to a dealer that can help them out.

Please feel free to add to this list, please add part numbers and prices if you can.
All the below are based on a 2005 2910i but many items are interchangable

I called the folks up above and they sent me to Cummins Northwest, got 3 glow plugs ordered, thanks for the info!

Is that $40 for each glow plug or $40 total?

If you find an equivalent aftermarket plug for substantially less I would suggest doing a free air time/duration comparison test to an OEM to see how the glow plugs react when they burn out.[Edit- this test should be performed on any plug]. Some glow plugs just stop working, while some swell which may make them difficult or impossible to remove, and some pop and explode putting the debris into your cylinder. Do you see where I'm going here? Some aftermarket parts are better than OEM, but I do not know in this particular case. Maybe someone else can give you more valuable information.

Most of my hydraulic lines on my front end loader for my Branson 3510 are starting to crack. Yesterday, I had a hydraulic line from the loader joystick to the ltractor split. Since the local dealer no longer carries Branson, they sent me to the truck repair to get a new hose.

The owner said that one end was SAE and the other end was metric (British metric?) Anyway, he doesn't do metric.
Now I'm stuck on the side of the mountain with no hydraulics. Does anybody make a nipple that will convert from metric to SAE?
I fear that I've got all my hoses to replace and the thought of buying all those custom loader hoses is daunting.
Thanks in advance for advice.

I nicked one of my lines, and eventually it started leaking.

A trip to the local NAPA with hose in hand got me a perfect replacement in 15 min for something like 25 bucks.

Of course the local NAPA is known for an extensive line of hyd parts and hose building...

Finally found one about 70 miles away. The metric threads are BSPT
(British Standard Pipe Taper) or (British Straight Pipe Thread)
Thanks.

Are there any replacements or suitable sub for fuel injectors?

I've got a fuel issue or a line blockage.
Suddenly can't increase the rpm above 2000rpm.

Thanks.

According to Google there are two threads in that category:

BSPP: British Standard Pipe Parallel (no taper and usually are accompanied by an oring and jamb nut and the female has a recess to accept the oring....my input)

BSPT: British Standard Pipe Taper is the standard tapered pipe thread.

This thread was of interest to me as I may have to change a line one day and I assumed the plumbing would be metric as is the rest of my tractor.

Thanks

HTH,
Mark

Well the connection toe the Front Loader joy stick is actually SAE.. thsu the hose is SAE on one end and BSPT on the other.

I was looking for an adapter that would allow me to buy standard SAE hoses... ie. BSPT to SAE adapter.
Then everything would be easy to acquire locally.

Any idea where I can find a water pump for a 2810? Local guy says they are back ordered and it could be up to two weeks...
