I was at an auction today and say a bunch of 7810 and 7610 and 6610.. some of them had these nice cast foot peg/rests that bolt to the top of the tranny ( 8spd ) using 2 bolts each side.. these were cast.. and not torch-ho-made units. These a ford item.. or aftermarket.

I liked them.. I need to buy me ( or make ) a set for my 7610s and my 5000.. right now I'm resting my feet on the back of the trans.. wearing the paint off.. etc..

if they are ford. anyone got a part number I can take to a dealer ..etc

thanks

Not 100% clear on what it is you're describing, but, check part manual for 5000 utility (w/30" rear rubber...operator straddles tranny, not flat deck.) Seems to me they had something simular to what you're describing. (It's been 30+ years since I had mine. CRS is in full force)

Yep.. my 5000 is a 'tranny straddle' model as well.. not like the 5200 flat deck row crop model ( didn't like those.. try to work on anything under the deck and it's coming off.. or you torch a hole in the deck! ).

I think I've found the R & L part numbers fromt he ford website.. but one side is listed in red.

Will check with the dealer tomorrow and see if they are good numbers.. Will post the numbers too.. don't got em with me right now.. jotted down at home on note pad.

thanks

I saw the reply over onYT. Never knew any 5000's were built in Mexico.

There's a former Ford dealership turned boneyard not too far from here. He's got a field full of shelled 5000's, ect. Let me know if you can't get 'em. I'll check Waynes "inventory" next trip over there. (He's got a consignment sale some time in Nov. I'll be going)

Yes, there were some assembled in Mexico for a while. Sorry I can't remember any details. More CRS you know.
