Ford 1910 purchased with 1500 hrs and FEL
I've got to leaky cylinders on the FEL (Dual) of my 1920. One leak is around the seal and rebuildable, the other at the top of a cylinder where it had been welded before. They're both small leaks, but I can tell some air is getting into the hydraulic line and making the fluid foamy.

My question is how long can I get away with this? The fluid level rarely goes done and I check it regulary. The hydraulic filter was changed at the beginning of the year. Is the leak going to hurt anything else? I've got alot of projects going right now and really can't afford much down time. I'd rather address this in the fall......

If the system is foaming, you need to have it fixed asap. The pump and valves will erode from the aeration. Take the cylinders to a good hydraulic shop and they can reseal them and weld the defective cylinder.
