I went all out and bought the flexpoint a couple of years ago, haven't used it much but had a chance the other day and snapped a few pictures.
I do like the EZmover but wanted to use the draw bar for other things so I spent the extra money and got the Flexpoint, they also sent me the extra outer receiver tube welded to a piece of angle iron (to my specs) that I used to make my "bucket buddy" something I couldn't live with out now.
The trailer I was pulling is a 5 ton dumper with a lot of tongue weight but I still put a chain on it to prevent it from rising to far, as I was going down some steep slopes, it has all the clearance to do some tight maneuvers.

John,

I also have the very same hitch. I really like it. I use it for (1) moving trailers around the propery and (the real reason I bought it) for allowing me to more easily attach/detach my ground-driven manure spreader.

It is the only reasonable way I've found to use my tractor to both load and pull the manure spreader.

I have wondered if there is a risk of back-flipping when pulling a heavy load (I recently purchased a fairly large RV travel trailer) - mostly if starting out too fast or pulling uphill. This is related to the pull from drawbar vs the 3PH recommendations.

Sounds like the way to go for the spreader, must be quick and easy with the lift on the 3pt, no need to have to fool around with a jack leg.
As far as flipping the tractor when pulling your RV, I don't think you could flip it over as long as you are coupled up to the trailer, but I guess it could get pretty ugly if you did stand it up enough to bind everything up between the 3pt and the trailer and tractor. Wear a seat belt, be ready with the clutch if it's a stick and start off slow so nothing happens to quickly, I know there has always been a lot of discussion on the subject of pulling from below the axle to prevent walk overs, though I'm not sure, maybe keeping the hitch as low as possible would help.

I got a similar hitch at a flea market a few years a go. Can't beat it for moving trailers. I recently got my truck and dump trailer full of mulch stuck in the woods. I unhitched the truck and hitched up the tractor, to my surprise my little 4200 pulled it out.

There have been warnings about pulling very heavy trailers from the
drawbar. The most interesting photo posted was someone pulling a
dump trailer that when dumped, the tongue lifted the drawbar and up-ended
the tractor. You could also have a load in the trailer shift and put a
sudden huge downward load on the hitch, lifting the front of the tractor.

When pulling a heavy trailer with the 3PH, my concern would be a sudden
uplift on the 3PH, which would float up and cause a problem. I prefer
to tow with a hitch on the back of my box blade, which is heavy and just
a few inches off the ground. Or, I use my trailer-tender on the FEL and
drive backwards.

Looks like the EZmover now has an option to connect a chain to your drawbar to fight against that problem.

3-Point Restraint Chain
The drawbar adaptor tube has the provision for hooking up your
3-PT restraining chain from the top of the adaptor to the fixed drawbar.
All items to make up the components of the chain are available at any hardware store
(chain not included with your order).
We make no recommendations on the use or application of a 3-pt restraint chain.
The use of chains could result in damage to the fixed or horizontal drawbar or other parts of the tractor.

That's a good idea, esp since you only have the weight of the hitch
(and any tongue weight) holding the tongue down.

I didn't have to move mine too far, the trailer got off of the road into soft dirt and having 8 yards of mulch in it had plenty of tongue weight. It's still a good idea though to secure the hitch...just in case. Most accidents happen before you know they happened.

Just a little update on my Flexpoint, finally took the time to put a trailer safety chain rings and a grab hook on the back for a limiter chain, also put a collar on the receiver tube front that came off an old tube.

I have been using my 5 ton dump trailer with the tractor, I have a steep driveway so was worried about the trailer getting away, also want to be able to dump the trailer. With a heavy load in the trailer, before it slides out when the bed is way up it puts a forceful upward pressure on the hitch, which could cause trouble for the 3PT system, the chain to draw bar should prevent that.
