Fleetguard air filter - sad to say.....

/ Fleetguard air filter - sad to say..... #51
I am just starting to use Luberfine filters - have mostly used Fleetguard for my F250. I am getting the Luberfiner filter (fuel) for my diesel tractor. I have used Napa but find their prices to be pretty steep. The Napa fuel filter (3361) micron rating is 10 micron - this seems to be a bit big for diesel to me. I think 6 micron would be closer to the norm. Anyhow, I bought some Luberfiner LFF4806 fuel filters and cannot see them being any bigger than 10 microns - still haven't managed to find their rating for this filter.
OBTW, Luberfiner fuel filter is about 40% of the cost of the Napa ($10 versus $25) and they are made in the USA !!!

Thx
Jim

The only oil filter I ever saw that was truly JUNK was a FO-MO-CO on an M11 it reduced the oil pressure to the point set of the alarm, when I cut it open it had very little paper.
I have seen Cat secondary fuel filter twist and block fuel flow they are really Baldwin.
I worked on class 8's and use to cut a lot of filters apart, Fleetguard and Baldwin are all good their is a survey on oil filters available if you Google it, one on oil, and one on air. If you have KNN filters you will see the junk you spent you money on.
I buy Bosch oil filters, Racor fuel on mine, and Wix transmission filters.
Just a thought!
