Well your hand isn’t going to get all the dirt and grit off. Pretty simple to keep a can on the tractor.
Because everyone always has a can of that handy. I can clean the skid steer couplers with my hand although a rag is ideal.
If I had a million bucks, I'd bet that, nest of connectors that is supposed to connect and disconnect in one go, without issue, will be a major problem. Anything that doesn't work individually well could not possibly work as a bunch at the same time. I could be wrong.
Starting fluid works good too, and most of the time there is a can of that around.![]()
I have a third function for my 4n1 on my FEL. It uses the FF connectors. One side ALWAYS locks up when removing the 4n1 to put my forks on - or whatever it does it regardless of the fact that I always "stir" the hydraulics to relieve pressure (including operating the 3rd function and stirring) before I disconnect the bucket. I ALWAYS have to crack the fitting to relieve pressure. I don't know if this is a "function" of the FF or if it is something to do with the way the 3rd function was installed but it is a fact of life. I plan to install an inline valve so I can crack it open to relieve pressure when I go to reconnect.
Oh yes, the line I crack is on the 3rd function, not on the bucket.

"In theory" they are betting on the leverage gained with the system to overcome the hydraulic pressure.
