Tractor
Ford 8N
I inherited by Dad's Ford 8N in 2003. After studying online forums for some time I was able to rebuild the carburetor and bring the tractor back to life, despite my minimal mechanical abilities. I use the Ford for brush-cutting and mowing trails and for miscellaneous jobs around our place. I had quite a bit of mechanical restoration done last year, including a new axle spline, cleaned and sealed gas tank, rebuilt starter and radiator repair.

A couple of weeks ago, the Ford decided to take a rest just as I was starting to do some mowing. After a day I pushed it several hundred feet back to the shed. I am still trouble-shooting, which is why I have showed up here. Since the tractor is now in great mechanical shape, I hope to next have it painted or maybe do it myself. It has its original 1951 paint yet--or what's left of it! I hope to meet more fans of the 8N, which has always been my favorite tractor.

I also have a 8n Ford. I use it mostly for spraying. I have a 100 gallon 3 point Wylie sprayer. Makes the little ford pretty light on the front when the tank is full.
Enjoy the forum.
