Flail mower - fmc sidewinder

After reading a lot about flails on this site I bought an fmc sidewinder 6 foot flail mower from an online auction for $200. Lubed Avery thing and got it working but it is missing some hangers and blades. I have looked (google did looking) all over internet and can find any parts for this. There are still parts for fmc sidewinder rotary mowers but not the flails. The closest looking part I can find to my blade hanger is this

My hanger is 4 inches tall but same width. Could I take an old hanger to a machine shop and have them bend one out of stock metal?

The main reason I got the flail is to shred sunflowers in my dove field as my rotary mower windrows too much trash on top of seeds.

If you have a heat wrench (torch) handy, you could try to bend them yourself. They may be simple mild steel, or may be something a little stiffer, that would be a good thing to find out first.
