That does look a little strange, but it seems like if it connects on that side then it has to have the slack to avoid kinks in the line.

It seems like you could put a sleeve over the BH hose made of canvas, similar to those on the FEL and other places. Wouldn't hurt.
Perhaps you do not have a mild case of OCD like I do but if you should decided to get the tractor back to looking like new, I went through quite a learning curve from learning how to paint to banging out dents with inexpensive harbor freight tools to restoring faded plastic. You can see the difference in my pics earlier in the thread. Be glad to share how I did it down the road.

Not bad for an old rental unit,,,,rental yards usually do a fairly good job on the maintenance end,,the bad part is,,is that EVERYONE who knows nothing about how NOT to abuse them, rents them

Congratulations on your B21 acquisition. I put about 1,800 hours on one over a six year period before upgrading to a B26. The B21 is a great machine with capabilities for greater than its diminutive size would suggest.
As pointed out earlier, the horn is an optional accessory - they all come with the button but it is around $50 for the horn itself. If you find the connector you can probably add your own horn and save a few bucks.
The headlights are pretty useless not only because they are behind the grill but also because the loader bucket blocks them. I had the B21 work light kit installed on my B21 and the four of them were great.
The hose in the picture is not properly routed. I have tried to find a picture but can't seem to this morning. I believe that hose should be inside the boom and then come out at the joint with the stick and loop back down to the cylinder. If I am not mistaken, there should be a piece of metal tubing from the cylinder fitting to the hose. I think the original hose or tubing got damaged and the person who replaced it was too cheap and/or lazy to route the hose correctly.
The only problem I had with my B21 was the bottom swing pin fell out one day. Fortunately I noticed before moving and was able to retrieve the parts and re-install it. The upper and lower swing pins are held in place by recessed bolts with an Allen key head. After this incident I started checking mine and sure enough despite my cranking them they would continue to loosen. I removed the factory Allen head bolt and replaced them with a hex head bolt and a nut. I cranked the bolt tight and then tightened the nut against the backhoe frame and they never came loose again.
