Looking forward to those action shots. Any thoughts on which tractor you'll buy next or implements needed?

Now you'll need to get some more attachments. Maybe even a snow blower for next winter. Enjoy!

Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes. I’ve been having so much fun with this machine. Already cleaned out an old birch tree that was covered with fill, cut the top off raised it up with the loader and dragged it up 8 feet to the top of the fill for the lawn were taking back from the woods. Today I dug up three stumps and my neighbors are already salivating thinking of all of the projects that we can do up here in the neighborhood.

Well I’ll tell you guys, it was pretty funny with my wife. In the morning she made the comment that the code to open the garage door was not working so I checked it and no problems (must have been user error). When she came home from work I made her go outside to try the code, and this time it works. As the garage is starting to open and I can see the loader bucket and I know she’ll see the tractor in a minute, she ends up entering the code and closing the garage without seeing the tractor. So this time I had to enter it and open the garage the whole way and she was so excited that I bought the tractor. To make it an even better birthday she bought me a Craftsman 127 piece tool set.

The only reason I can write this now is my wife took a quick refresher on operating the tractor and now she’s out there playing around in the dirt and doing some yard work and I’m stuck inside watching my daughter. Currently watching the Pajanimals – my how life changes, but always for the better.

Deathtoblackberries – I read your posts before making my decision and we were both debating the same machines and I definitely think we both made the right choice.
Lamarbur – I checked the id number but I his name does not have the RH so it might be someone else.

Here’s a couple of shots of my wife out there playing in the dirt, and one of the little operator on her tractor.

Great photos and the one with you and the boy would look good on the mantle.

MSP3288, looks like you're the only one in the family without a tractor... LOL

My wife became so attached to our BX's I "had" to buy a L5740 HSTC for my own, darn it.

My wife now calls the L3130 "her tractor"... :D

It's great when the wives take an interest. Makes buying additional impliments so much easier...

My wife enjoys me enjoying my Kubota L3130. She was 100% behind it and would run it in a heartbeat if she needed to. She really likes that I have a tractor that can help me complete the work I need to do to maintain our property without taking weeks and getting me sick. We used Gravely riders for years and they did the job, but it was much more work. So far, the Kubota has been much cheaper to operate and maintain.

It is fun to have a change of pace and have the proper tool for a job. If we had found one with a backhoe and cab that we could afford, it would have been even better. We have been saving and watching CL for backhoes, there is one now that looks interesting that we may get.. we have some projects that need some ditches dug. 20 years ago, we did a bunch of ditches by hand and we are trying to avoid that this time... we have enough projects that could use a backhoe, we will be getting one.

Really happy for you, stay safe and enjoy the new tool. I would suggest hearing protection to save your hearing as you get older (I think I saw some muffs on your pictures laying on the floorboard, but did not see any in the pictures with your wife)...

No problem....Just felt like calling you out on it. She's only 15 months so unless she's in bright pink, its understandable.

I fully agree with you, hawkeye08. I forgot to take photos while doing work, so I ran outside right when she was going to head inside so she jumped back on and just played around in a pile of loam with it in a low ideal. Normally we are always wearing hearing protection. I'm jealous of the L3130. This weekend I'm going to attempt to build a pass to finally get to my backyard (taken it back from the woods),and....hopefully get in nine holes.

Congrats! I've got the same setup and love it. My favorite attachment is a wallenstein wood chipper. Its amazing how much use you can find for these machines. Did you buy in MA or did you go over the border?
