Well let me say I致e been lurking on here for a while and for the past couple of years my wife and I have gone back and forth on what type of tractor to get and whether or not to get one. Approximately two weeks ago we made our decision to test out the two brands we were looking at, a Kubota or a Mahindra. We test drove the BX25 and a B2620 at the Kubota dealership. We both like the operation and the smoothness of the loader and backhoe. Next we headed down to a Mahindra dealership to check out the Max 25 and Max 28xl HST. I have to admit I thought the Mahindra was a little more comfortable until we began to operate the backhoe. It seemed that the machine was being jerked every time the backhoe was moved. We also noticed that the backhoe on the Mahindra appeared to be spot welded as opposed to a continuous weld. We also liked the higher ground clearance on the B-20 series and the fact that the Kubota dealership is three miles from our house, and owned by a family friend.
Needless to say my wife and I were in agreement on the Kubota but we both thought for the extra cash why not get the B2920. In our mind we壇 rather have more horse power and not need it then need it and not have it. Well without telling the wife I went down last week and signed paperwork on the new B2920 with a loader, backhoe and mechanical thumb. I知 expecting delivery today which is perfect because its my Birthday and this is the best birthday gift I could buy myself. I think the other surprise will be my wife opening the garage and seeing it there. Up till now she has been rattling me on when I would go to the dealership to sign paper work, I can稚 wait to see her face.
Just got off the phone with the dealership, and my new tractor is being delivered at 11. Price was about average for the Massachusetts area, but I did convince the dealership to throw in a die cast Kubota ride on for my daughter, a golf shirt and a couple of hats because I have the habit of losing them. Oh I can稚 wait so many projects to do. I will attach photos when it arrives.
