Buying Advice First Tractor Advice XR3135HC or XR4140HC

I've had my 4140HC for a month. I wanted a mid mount mower but dealer said they didn't make one for it, went with a 3 pt Woods 72" finish mower and very happy with it. I moved up to the bigger 4140 from a Kubota B 3300. I had wanted a bigger tractor from the time I started driving the Kubota. Get the bigger tractor in my humble opinion

Did any of your LS buyers negotiate any? If the price I was given is pretty good then I wonder if they just offer they bottom dollar to begin with to avoid any going back/forth. Also do you know if it's possible to add a 3rd rear remote?

I have been trying to figure out where the mark up is on these machines, I am guessing the price has a lot to do with freight costs to the dealer.
My suggestion: When you know you can finance/swing it.... Call The Dealer(s) you like and say you are ready to go, sharpen up the pencil and put the best deal we can in place. See where the numbers point towards and TRUST ME, go with your first gut choice of a dealer. If you want to know why PM me. Almost bit me ROYALLY

I'll be paying in cash so the price i was given was a cash price which I believe was a couple hundred dollars less.

You can always negotiate cash better! Is this a model on the lot or one they will order!?
My advice have them install a radio rear wiper mirror visor etc that way you are not tearing into something new!e
I know my dealer made me a good deal for cash or financing in place at time of order as they save money on financing etc

It's one they have to order. I've also got an offer for a Kiotio nx4510 for 42k, that has 3rd function, 2 rear remotes, cab, radio, loaded tires, delivery, BH w/hydraulic thumb. slightly bigger tractor. The cash price for the basic xr3135hc is 25.2k, 40hp add 2k, 45hp add 3.2k. However the 40/45hp is a larger body tractor which I'm not sure will work w/my 13 acres since most is heavy woods. There does seem to be an issue w/the LS of getting a factory 3rd function, 3rd rear remote, bh thumb. So I would have to go aftermarket which I don't mind but I want it to have a factory look. The Kioti is one on the lot, they would have to just add the BH and remotes and 3rd function. As I mentioned the LS they would have to order.

Biggest thing I can say is make sure you are satisfied with your decision! I considered kioti but had no close dealers! We all like the factory look for most part! I know from many LS owners here that you will love a LS machine even the 3135 is a robust machine

However the 40/45hp is a larger body tractor which I'm not sure will work w/my 13 acres since most is heavy woods.

I've got ten acres of heavy cedar, oaks, and mesquite (well about 4 acres is clear now thanks to the LS), my XR4040 has no issues in thick woods, and the extra weight has come in handy several times. I almost bought a XR3037C just for the AC but decided to spend that extra money on a bigger tractor with an open station. I am VERY glad I got the 40 series. The 3037 just wouldn't have done what I needed.

Remember the height of the cab is under 8 feet

I looked at the 4140 at a local dealer and it was about 92" tall which is good for my garage. One thing that has me concerned over getting the kioti is the lack of factory options, which I think I mentioned. No third function no extra remotes, no backhoe thumb. These seems like pretty standard things you would think a factory would produce. I know you can get an after market 3rd function from wrlong but the pics I've seen to be honest it looks like crap, the handle is what I'm referring to. If they came out with a better grip/handle that hid the wires, looked nice, and didn't have bolts sticking out I'd consider that. I really like the LS just don't like that there really isn't anything you can add on to it from the factory.
