Tom turkeys are starting to show off. Here's one strutting in our yard yesterday morning. About 20 hens were unimpressed with his display.:)

Wow, nice pics Jim! Spring up here seems like a dream still. Some snow has melted but we're supposed to get more this evening.

We cheeseheads will let you have what we don't take of the expected 6 - 8", Rob. I am sure you will put it to good use

Very nice.

They are starting to come out into the pastures now around here.

Sweet!!! So far the hawks are coming back slowly and the eagles. Everything else is not enjoying the cold with no snow to hide in.

You are a horrible person to post such pics with some of us suffering with ice and snow and old man WINTER!!

No really, keep them coming so there is hope in sight again and soon we will be complaining about the heat (of course those of us with cab tractors and a/c will be content as long as there is diesel).

My Japanese plums are already ripe a month ahead of time and my neighbors rose tree is in full bloom. :)

Now I'm going to have to spend my weekends cutting grass again.:(

[Now I'm going to have to spend my weekends cutting grass again.

I mowed my yard day before yesterday, then yesterday evening and this morning, I aerated the front yard, spread some grass seed, and fertilized it, then went 30 miles this morning to one daughter's house and helped her and her husband mow and edge their yard, then went by the other daughter's house and picked up her lawnmower and brought it home for me to service. And I watered my front yard this afternoon. So I'll either be working on a daughter's old lawnmower or working on my own yard the next few days.

Tallyhoe, that "rose" tree is a Magnolia Soulangiana (Oriental Magnolia). And a butchered one at that. Poor tree.

I grew up in Plaquemines Parish by the way. Went to Shaw High School.

I can see my fescue starting to get a little perky, and the red maples have some budding. But nothing significant just yet. :(
