First service with only 14 hrs ????

LukeStaford.....Dude,,,I AM relaxed, lol Yea I called the tech guy at LS after buying and he is the one that told me they put break in lubes in the oil when it is assembled..the cost of the oil and filter is nil...just thought with only 14 hrs on it was a waste...shoot I may not have 50 on it next year either
It would be a waste just change it 50 hours or 1 year rolls around. My Honda Accord came with break in oil the manual said not to change it early.
The dealer card was just a reminder to use him.

I bought my new Ls2025 in August....only have 14 hrs....got a card from dealer saying be sure to do the service....is there break in lubes in the oil etc that I really should leave in until 50 hrs ???

Thx

Wait till you get closer to 50 hrs before changing. You're probably going to use it for plowing snow so you'll add some hours this winter. If you don't have 50 hours by next August then change it. When you do use a diesel rated oil 0W-30, 0W-40, or 10W-30 which will make it easier starting in cold weather. I've only got 88 hours on mine in 22 months. I did mine around 50 hours. I did not have it tested but it came out clean, no visible metal or contaminants. I did use synthetic oil when I changed it but that's not a necessity.
