First robins of the year

I heard my first Cardinal 2 weeks ago and then we got 2 more storms. Heard again just this week, spring is coming for sure. Won't see Robins here until Late March-early April. I have a south east hillside that melts off quicker than anything around and have literally counted over a hundred Robins in a small area of my yard when they return.

We get robins really early here, this year early February, have seen a huge flock come in on January 1 about 20 yers ago.

The Robins arrived today in southern Indiana even though we had 6" of snow last night.

Was a flock of about 50 robins moved thru last week but haven't seen any since. Cardinals stay here year round and make a mess at the bird feeder. I made the mistake of buying some safflower seed and had to take my shop vac and pick up all the white hulls from the grass and under my deck where the wind had blown them. I only bought 5 pounds but it looked like 10 pounds of hulls covering everything. No hummingbirds yet but looking at a yearly tracking and siting map, looks like they could be here as early as next week or week after at latest.
