Is that what the Tier 4s are going for? Ouch! You might call Webster Country Tractor on I-44 East of Springfield. 130 miles from you. Compare prices.

The only difference you'll find between the two tractors is 5 more hp at the PTO shaft. What are you planning to drag behind it?

My 32 PTO hp can handle any 6' implement I attach and my budget can't afford anything wider anyway. Rotary cutter no problem. I run my PHD at high idle. When running a box blade, I run out of traction before motor.

If you're wanting a cab model, I guess you can donate the 5hp to blowing cold air and keeping your panties fresh.

Lol

Man the mower looks bigger that the tractor. Hay this isn't fair how come you have leaves on your trees our trees are still naked!

I think it looks even bigger in person... The thing is huge. They switched my order with another so the one delivered was not correct, but are making it right this afternoon. The new one being delivered is 200lbs heavier. The one I have seems to run fine, so I am assuming the more heavy duty one will too. I will send a update if it does not work well. You are welcome to come for a visit and grab some leaves, but you have to take some of the ticks and chiggers that are already out too

Wow, big price jump between 3039H and 4040HC. My 3039 was a little less than you quoted, even with all the additions.

I put about 5 hours on the 3039 this weekend, all while dragging the bb72x around. It chomped up just about anything I could push over with the FEL. I was very impressed with both the LS and the cutter. Good weekend! Now I need to hunt down some good gas containers and pick up some diesel!

I might suggest to go ahead and get the yellow diesel cans, because mixing up gas for diesel fuel is a major PITA.
All lot of the time it is not the owner that causes this, but the helpful neighbor, or the wife, or son etc. Always call it diesel or diesel fuel never call it gas. And the yellow can will help. Keep your diesel in the yellow cans and your gasoline in the red ones.. and try not to let others fuel your tractor, and you will be happier.

Lol, mine are a Hodge-Podge of colors. I use 2 yellows, 2 blues, and 1 red (with "diesel" markered all over it)... all 5 gal cans, so I make the fuel trip worth my while.

That's just my diesel cans ... I don't even want to get into my others !

I was in Advance Auto Parts a few weeks ago and noticed that yellow is designated for diesel. I had planned to get the yellow ones, but I didn't really have a reason. I would be less than thrilled if some "helpful" soul decided to fill my tractor with regular gas or with a gas/oil mix. Excellent advice, thanks!

I have a feeling I am going to be in the same situation soon. I have about 6 now because of the boat & yard tools. So now I am headed to the store to pick up some yellow ones!

Yea and now when you buy cans of any color you get the brand new safety type vented spouts. there is only one way to describe these cans they suck! But there is a fix get the flexible spout and air inlet replacement kits. I can't think of a better way to describe them but they are worth there weight in gold. I get then at tractor supply.
