Congratulations Javarob on you new machine..I see you are a Mo. boy, so be sure to meet the rest of the Mo. boys over on the Missouri "watering hole" thread posted below.
If there is anything we can help with, let us know and we will try our best.

Thank you. I joined that thread, and have made my way about 2/3 through it. It has been very interesting reading through the past few seasons & all the weather, etc., that we have been having. When I make it to the end, I'll say hello. I am sure I'll have a ton of questions. Right now I need a tree identification expert, and a hydro-geologist, lol. I could use some advice about putting in a few culvert pipes...

Congrats on the new tractor! I'm sure you're going to get a lot of work out of it. I've had my R3039H for almost two years, with 210 hrs, and love it. No issues whatsoever. I did manage to bend a stabilizer bar by backing the box blade into a stump, but that was on me.

Thank you! How do you like that stump bucket on the 3039? I mentioned it to the dealer and he had some concerns that it might be hard on the machine. It sure looks handy though.

Do you think the extra $ for the 4046 is worth it? I am trying to decide. I was quoted xr4040H = $23,510 and xr4046H = $24,600
Thanks

You probably weren't asking me because I have little experience. I had a look at the 3039 as it was setting next to a 4041 & 4046, and I was surprised at how much more beefy the axle, etc., is. I think the 3039 is plenty big enough for most of my needs, but I definitely did like the look of the much bigger front tires. If the xr models are related to each other like the r models, then they look to be the same tractor. If you think you need the extra power, a thousand bucks difference over ten years seems like a small price to pay. Best of luck to you.

The dealer calls me this morning and says that he has a problem. He says that his delivery guy can't come tomorrow, so it has to be today, and he asks me if that is ok, lol. That is a bit like asking a kid if Christmas can come a day early. So it is supposed to arrive this afternoon late.

For the $1090 difference I would take the 4046. You never know when you might need that extra HP or capacity. I didn't need a 4040 or 4046 but did want the cab so I got the XR3037HC. Like it very much so far.

Notice that I have the narrow design stump bucket, not one of the large wedge shaped ones. I've had great luck with mine. I mainly use it to uproot smaller 4-6" trees. I have dug up some very large pine stumps with it , as well.

Thanks for the information on the stump bucket. The 4-6 inch range is about what I had in mind too. You can tell that some of them are obviously made for something considerably larger and more industrial. I have been wondering about using a subsoiler to get small stumps out as well. Even if you can, it seems like the stump bucket would also be good for getting out rocks, or other smaller items, or maybe even digging a trench.

Thanks for all the support everyone, I really appreciate it! So it arrived!! Now lets see if I can upload some pictures...

This one is after getting a little dirt on it. I had some brush that needed to go.

Is that what the Tier 4s are going for? Ouch! You might call Webster Country Tractor on I-44 East of Springfield. 130 miles from you. Compare prices.

The only difference you'll find between the two tractors is 5 more hp at the PTO shaft. What are you planning to drag behind it?

My 32 PTO hp can handle any 6' implement I attach and my budget can't afford anything wider anyway. Rotary cutter no problem. I run my PHD at high idle. When running a box blade, I run out of traction before motor.

If you're wanting a cab model, I guess you can donate the 5hp to blowing cold air and keeping your panties fresh.
