When I used to cut with the MMM on my old tractor, I was able to get a lot closer to objects. Now I find myself taking the push mower and quickly clipping around those objects before I go at the main part of the field with the finish mower. The inside field is completely open and there are no man made objects so I have no worries about get close to anything. In the outside field by the road there are electrical boxes, mailboxes, street signs, and a few narrowly spaced trees. Those are the things I have trouble getting close to and usually about every 2 full cuts I'll go at them with the trimmer as well.
