It was in the 50s yesterday and again today. I'd bet I can find a mosquito by my back door this evening.

I am waiting for the cliff swallows to show up to take care of that problem. We let them nest on the front & back porch, also the shop lean-tos. I can deal with their mess easier than having mosquitos. Plus, we get to watch all the babies be born and grow up at close range.

Have seen flies off and on before we had our big freeze a few weeks back, hopefully that lowered the population.
Was strange seeing them in Dec/Jan , but we had some warm days.

We have barn swallows and also encourage them to nest. They eat bugs like crazy and are fun to watch too. I'll take the poop over the itch anyday...

In NW Missouri and had one a week ago on a warm day. Been a really mild winter here this year. Very little snow and could use some rain already.
