First electric tractor ride

Bobcat has skid steers that can be run remotely too. I would LOVE to have that ability on my toolcat.

Maybe Kubota will introduce electrics?

I know the best battery life bar none is the OEM Deka Kubota branded battery in my BX23

Are the electric tractors any more or less affected by some of the "right to repair" stuff that's hitting major vendors like JD? I've been reading about hackers essentially jail-breaking some JD tractors to allow access to logging & system config settings. It seems like with EV tractors being "electronic-native", your odds of repairing on your own might be low.

Calculations say this tractor will run 1.2 hours if operating at full power the whole time. So, it will pull whatever any other 25 horse tractor will. Plowing and snow are no more of an issue than any other tractor that size. It’s just that if it uses all 25 hp doing it, it will only go for 1.2 hours.

Thanks for posting. Definitely a use for such machines.

Never said it wouldn't do these things. I stated that it wouldn't do so for long.

Calif needs to secede from the USA and good riddance. Electric vehicles are a sick joke going somewhere to create fresh problems that eco-dummies could not for see until/unless we go to about 90% nuclear power in this country. Until then forget it.

Californians can't agree either... many efforts at dividing the state in half or in thirds have been floated with a very serious effort just before WWII to create a new state of Jefferson from Southern Oregon and far Northern California.

It could very well be because of one size fits all thinking with the power bases favoring dense urban districts...

See it in Washington State where one county often determines outcomes... King County.

I just wish diversity would be put in practice... and realize one size solutions don't fit all.

For a very long time the accepted model was Grandfathering in existing tech and a melding going forward...

That takes too long and now it is mandates and bans...

That said I do think there is a market for electric tractors and would love to try one on loan.

Had a friend in the golf course business long since gone...

He said when electric carts were coming out many said no way and there were problems but overtime the carts got better and now have a huge market share...

The trouble with leftists is that they are never content to try out their economically ridiculous policies just on themselves. They won't rest until everybody is forced to comply. "Live and let live" is not in their lexicon.
