This guy is from the batch I stocked the pond two years ago with. Have to say I am proud more as a farmer than as a fisherman. It is the result of feeding and aerating and taking care of them fishies:)

And yes, he went back to the pond to get bigger:)

Nice looking fish! I know the feeling, as I've pulled the first fish out of my pond this spring as well. This is also the first year we've had a garden and those first onions, lettuce, and radishes sure taste good as well!

It is a good feeling when you know you had a part in stocking and feeding the fish. Catching them is a lot of fun. Next year I will be renovating my pond and restocking, it is a lot of fun.:)

Looking good! Growing fish is a lot of fun, maybe more fun than catching them.

Here is one of the first fish we put into our pond. She started out about 2 inches long and had 124 friends. Now there is around 60 of these left. The bass keep their population down but for some reason can't seem to eat these originals:)

I agree with fishman 100%!!!!!!!!

It's almost all consuming figuring out what to do to increase the size and numbers of the fish in my ponds. Then there is nothing as exiting as seeing others catch those fish, especially the kids.
