Does anyone know if Yanmar would cover the first 50 hour service at a different dealer from where the tractor was purchased? I took mine in for the service, 2 days turned in to two weeks to get the hydro filter. When I picked it up I happen to notice the filter was never changed. All they did was change the oil (but funny thing is they have no diesel oil in stock) I am wondering what oil they put in it. They also greased most of the grease fittings.

UMMMM, I think i would run, then complain to yanmar!! I guess were talking about a new yellow/black cubcadet yanmar? Sounds like a lawnmower shop that just sells them as a side line!!! If they put the wrong oil in it and did not change a filter when needed THEY voided the warrenty not you, and i would explain that to the yanmar hotline or regional sales rep. Of course they could of always ordered deisel grade oil from a auto parts store just for your change, but that still dont explain the non hydro filter change.
Anyway yes another tractor dealer should cover your tractor that is still new and under warrenty, unless this first service is a negotiated thing that you did with the purchasing dealer.
