Mowing Finish mowing with the 2320 / 2520

"I can't understand why so many of you are trying to mow in 4wd, and don't want the stuff ripped up? "

I have no choice. My property is almost completely sloped, a lot of it up around 20 degrees or so. I spin the rear tires constantly when trying to mow in 2WD. I've tried leaving the loader frame on and have all the wheel weights available, but just can't get enough traction.

Using the diff lock helps on the straights but not when turning.

I mow my lawn with my 2520 tractor, and works great. It makes a smooth cut, and it moves around trees etc. I have the turf tires on there, which help alot. I would not get the bar tires for mowing, but if you got a 2520 with turf tires, you have a great mowing tractor.

What is the highest grass any of you has successfully mowed with your finish mowers ? I have a Bush Hog Brand FTH 600 and am just curious..it's a pull behind I use on my TC-29..thanks.

I'd say, about 10 inches. I always keep mine set to the highest setting, which is about 4 1/2 inches. Doesn't have any problems mowing it, but it does tend to leave behind some clumps of grass when it gets that tall.

Some of you keep asking about the MMM removal and installation, for me it only takes 2-3 minutes to complete. Just drive on, 2 back and 1 front pin(s) snap the PTO driveshaft on and lift up the wheels to what cut you want and go. Remember to put the PTO in the rear position before hitching up the driveshaft.
