Finish mowing with a B7610

I decided to pass on the MMM when I bought my B7510HST last May. It came in a package deal with the LA302 FEL and ag tires.

Figuring the cost of the MMM and turf tires, I decided to spend $2K on a John Deere riding mower to handle the ~1 acre of landscaping on my 10 acre parcel.

Need to use the right tool for the right job.

I agree with you. CUTs are not the optimal choice for landscape maintenance.

The best way to put it is, "It gets the job done."

It does not cut as nice as my 54" Cub Cadet did - but then, it cuts everything I put in front of it. Wet, high, thick, grass is not a problem, where it tore up PTO belts on the Cub Cadet regularly. I have about 5 acres to cut on a regular basis, so a nice pretty cut is not necessary or practical. I have noticed some of the striping that others have mentioned from the two wheels at the rear of the deck and from the front wheels flattening the grass before it is mowed. And I have brown stripes around EVERY tree no matter how careful I try to turn. Oh well, it's much nicer to mow in four hours instead of five, though.

If they make a suspended deck option available for a B7610 I would seriously look into that. The two center rear wheels on the deck do leave unusual looking stripes and I would think the supended deck would not have them. I have a B3030 with the 60" MMM and I modified it to be suspended in the rear and removed the wheels. I like it a lot better that way. I have turf tires and do not have a problem tearing up the lawn on turns. To my surprise it is much better that way than my old JD318. Those FRONT tires scuffed and left rings around all the trees. The B3030 front tires do not scuff at all and it will turn around trees just as tight as the little JD does. With the rear wheels removed I would say it is a 9 out of 10 now. And I can drive just as fast as the smoothness of the lawn will allow and it still cuts everything in it's path.
