Finish mower for Kubota 7510

I would like some opinions on choosing a rear finishing mower for my Kubota 7510hst. I am looking at a Woods RDC54 or a Land Pride FDR1660. I would ideally like to go with the 60" Land pride but the area I am mowing is quite hilly and I am unsure how the 170 pound wt difference will impact the performance. I had 1 guy at the dealer tell me either would be fine, another told me I wouldnt be happy if I got the 60".....any help would be great... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The B7510 is not a very heavy tractor, so the extra weight combined with a sloping area may, and I repeat, may give you a little bit of a problem pulling to the side, but I don't think it would be all that bad.

To my way of thinking, just get one that is a little wider than the complete width of your rear tires and no more. You can get up close to things at your side, but you're not overdoing it.

I think the B7510 is supposed to be able to carry a 60" RFM without a problem, but less than that on a rotary/brush mower.

With the heavier mower, make sure you have plenty enough front ballast on it.

My previous tractor was a B7500 and I ran a Bushog brand RDTH 60 (536lbs) behind it without the FEL attached and no ft. weights with no problems and it gave a great cut.
I never cut any hill sides though...none to cut at the time.

My first tractor was a Deere 670. This machine had about the same power as your 7510, however, the Deere weighed quite a bit more. I used a 60" Befco (another quality brand) RFM behind it. The Befco weighs about 500#.

I think a 60" RFM would work fine with your Kubota. You may find the front end is a bit light if you transport (raise) the mower without the loader (which is what I do...the loader gets in the way when I'm finish mowing). If that's the case, get a couple suitcase weights.

I doubt if you'd see this with a finishing mower...maybe with a single tailwheel rotary cutter. If the slope is that steep, it would be advisable to mow up and downslope, rather then across.

I meant to put in "with the mower raised."
I still doubt that it would be much of a problem, as you say.
