Find parts for Yanmar 1500

My buddy has a YM1500 and want's to find a source for parts in the Northwest. 2 questions: Does anyone know where to find parts (nothing specific right now). Is there a non grey market tractor that uses the same parts?

You might try Buck at EFC. He deals with grey Yanmars in WA. He is also a member here at TBN.

I agree. Check EFC for parts. He may even have parts tractors to get used parts for you for less money.

Even though Yanmar makes John Deere compacts and subcompacts, my understanding is that very few parts match up. I have also learned that the JD dealers seem to be confused about the metric bolts and hydraulic fittings on our Yannies. Apparently "metric" is a foreign word to them so the JD tractors are made SAE.

When I had my 1500 I ordered my parts from Hoye Tractor -- as I type this, their advertising banner is at the top of the page.

They have a complete on-line illustrated parts list for the 1500s. You click on the part you want, pay with a credit card, and two days later it arrives at your doorstep. The few parts I needed were always very resonably priced.

You are not likely to find a Yanmar parts store in your neighborhood. Almost everybody has to buy from dealers on the net that use this, and other Yanmar forums.

I'm pretty sure neither EFC nor Tractor Ernie are Yanmar new parts dealers.
