Mahindra is now offering 0% for 36 months on new tractor purchases. I think it's good through the end of April.

This, combined with the fact that Mahindra Man came out to my place to look the terrain over while evaluating my Kubota definitely gives him some serious cred in the choice between the 2015 and a Case DX23 set up the same way.

Does anyone here know the shift pattern on the gear drive DX23? The dealer couldn't find it, the book shows a 1|3 and 2|R pattern for the same tranny on the DX29. I contacted Case through their website and they haven't answered for about 3 days now. The Case shifter location is also something that would be nice to know -- same situation. For the DX29 it's on the dash left of the steering wheel but I know nothing about the DX23.

With Mahindra, the shifter is 1|3 and 2|R located on the left fender.

Why buy a DX23 when you can get a DX24/TC24 for less money and 0%-60mo financing?

The TC23da has the shifter on the left side fender. Interesting that the TC26da doesn't have a manual tranny, but the TC23da does. (At least that's what the brochure states)

Is the DX24 the newest version? My brochure only shows the 26/23 or 29/33. The 23 has the gear drive option while the 26 is hydro only, with a treadle pedal that negates using the steering brakes. I need to double check how it operates, though since some of them have the ability to run with the cruise on and use one brake (but shut it off with 2) while others shut the cruise off when you touch any brake at all. I could possibly disable the brake-on/cruise-off mechanism, too. One guy told me it was just an electric disconnect that can be easily undone or rigged with a switch.


UMM, Did you mean to say 0%-60months? As in 5 years?? The Case website doesn't mention that. When did it start? How long does it run?

The 24 is the older version of the 26.

I'm not sure if Case is running that or not. New Holland is, and usually their programs are the same. Its been going on for about 6 weeks and I expect it should run for awhile yet.

Wow! That's pretty significant. I would have thought it would at least be advertised on radio spots or something. I think I'll give the dealer a call. Could it be just in some areas, marketing zones, or states but not nationwide?

The 60 months/ 0% is limited to what most people would call riding lawn mowers. The tractors have 0% for 36 months.

The local NH dealer said it was for one model that he didn't carry. He called it a Mexican tractor. ???? This is the same guy who no longer will stock or sell the small Massey's, even though he's a full Massey dealer. He's got a brand new old stock 1230 that's he's been sitting on for 4 years on his lot next to all the NH compacts. I basically have decided I won't deal with him.

NH site doesn't seem to specify any certain tractor. They show varying rates from for 36 up to 4.99 for 84 months, which is still not bad.

Neil, you're the dealer but I recall finding differences last yr between NH and Case special financing deals depending on the line involved.

And I also came across a special JD regional deal around here where one dealer knew of it, another 30 mi away did not (but later did).

Also, rumor has it around here that Case dealers pay more on some crossover (ie, both brands offer similar products) items, parts, etc. Lots of rumors and who knows other than the accountants.

Ask questions, lots of questions and always consult the web (though that JD dealer NEVER made it to the web).
