Finally tested my Caroni Flail

So I know I posted some pics of a little field I mowed when I first got this thing, but I finally got a chance to use it as it was intended,, or bought for anyway.

Ooops, its the 73" Caroni Flail mower from Agrisupply.

I bought 100 acres in South Carolina, lots of this area is in "pine plantings" that they harvest every 20 or so years and replant, mine is part of that but the harvesting is over, I bought the place for the woods and wildlife. So my trees are planted in rows and I'm looking to clean some of those rows up and make paths. Walking paths, tractor access paths, shooting lanes, stuff like that so here is a before pictures and some after pictures.

This thing works great, but I have to learn to go real slow. At a faster speed it looks like it was done with a rotary cutter, but if I go real slow and let it do its thing, and mulch everything up it looks just outstanding!!

Very glad I went with the flail over the rotary mower!!

That does do a good job. Like the way it mulches the brush & small trees. What tractor are you running it on?

Great looking tractor! The grapple really gives it a aggressive look. Wish mine had the front protection like you have. Enjoy.

The radiator grill has a hole in it, just cosmetic. The guy I bought it from did it when it was new, ran a branch through it so he built that guard.. just a frame and some expanded metal.
