Well, I wanted a kubota 5030 cab but after the wife drove it; it really intimidated her /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. We went an looked at the Deere and new holland again. She liked the feel of the deere and said the controls made more sense to her /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

Now we are the proud owners of a 4710 .

This is the final outcome:
John Deere 4710
4x4, e-hydro, dual mid and single rear scv, Imatch quick hitch, draft sensing kit, warning light brush guard kit and foward dual lights on rops, 2 rear work lights, speed match/automotive cruise control upgrade; seat armrest kit; telescoping draft link ends, buckshot canopy and ext waranty- additonal 3 years-3000 hours. ($24,265.40)

460 loader with bucket level indicator, 73 inch HD bucket with cutting edge, and pallet forks. ($5,026.00)

MX6 cutter ($1700.00)
Bush hog 72' RDH rear discharge mower with antiscalp roller ($1700.00)

Prices include free pick up and delivery, and includes the first 50 hour service for free. I live 65 miles from this dealer.

Grand total was 31,541.40 including the $400.00 two deere implement promotion at present. Price was about the best I could do around here. I hope I didn't get taken to the cleaners. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Oh, well now maybe I can join the 4310 club or maybe Rancar should start a 4710 club /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

P.S. BTW, tractorbynet is awsome with the information and even the willingness of the members to help newbies out.
Thanks again

The 4710 is a great tractor, you'll love it.

I'm not sure what all the options cost individually but your price seems higher than what we can get one for here in south central Texas. Otherwise, the warranty will insure years of great tractoring.
Good luck, Be Careful...Kyle

Course we'll let you in Club4310. We just prorate the dues by the weight if your setup... WOW! Can't wait to see THAT check!!!

Setup sounds great!! My wife and I both use our tractor a lot. It is great to share one and spend time together, rather than it separating you. (I know there are one or two who will argue on this point.... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif)

Do you have the MX6 yet? I got one on order (since July 1)... can't wait till spring when I should have it and be able to try it out. I got it with the slip clutch for a few extra bucks.

Well, I get a call at lunch from the dealer and he informs me that he has charged me $750.00 to much. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. He has a check wating for me. I could just see if the CEO would approve a box blade or something. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll take pics as soon as it gets here; which won't be till the first of the year. It will be an 04 model.

Mike, I should have taken a picture of that check. You would have thought I was drunk when I wrote it. More wavey lines than the ocean has. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Kyle, I think your right about the price. The loader price just seemed too much to me. However, the wife liked the hydro feel and placement of pedals much better than the kubota. I probably should shoot myself in the foot for getting it. I may never see seat time now. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Zuiko, the dealer had the MX6 already on order and should be here in 3 weeks. Price included the chain guards and slip clutch. I think this was the best deal that I got. What's the hold-up on the MX6. Ordered in July and haven't got it yet? You may need to put out an APB on it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Seriously though, thats a long time to be waiting for a cutter.

My wife and daughters do a great job on "mine". It is even fun watching THEM enjoy it. (hey, I gotta keep myself THINKIN' that...)

You're gonna love it....

Yes, that MX6 price is a steal. I'm not sure what I paid for mine since it wasn't broken out, but probably more than that. I think they only make the cutters for half the year and they were out of that one by the time I ordered. I haven't checked if it's in lately since I won't get any use out of it till spring.

Good luck with it, sounds like a real nice setup.

Witt, I finally dug out my paperwork where I got a quote back at the end of September.

JD 4710, 4WD, Ehydro, R4's, 460 FEL, DSCV's and a hat.

For $23,300 No haggle price. Plus, they had 2 on the lot last Saturday.

I really need a new hat...Kyle

Well, I went by the dealership today just to look and there was a 4710 being unloaded from a truck. The salesman came out and said thats your tractor being unloaded. The loader, bushhog and finishing mower are here as well. I should have it by next week due to Christmas. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I also waited to the last minute to get my wife a gift this year because she usually drops me a few hints. Nope nothing this year, nada. I sure hope she likes a mall gift card /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Merry Christmas
