Finally got my Canopy !!

Well the man who owned the used JD Deluxe canopy finally got around to getting it from the people he "Thought" wanted to buy and brought it into his work place (a JD dealership) so I could look at it. In general, it appears to be in fairly good condition. There is a little wear and tear, but merely cosmetics.
It has a somewhat finished interior ie. plastic liner that covers all the metal supports etc. It has some foam factory installed for sound deadening, a rear view mirror and hazard lights on all 4 corners. I was able to buy it for $350.
The biggest challange was trying to install it by myself, but Yankee stubborness and ingenuity got it done.

The biggest thing I am going to have to get used to, is remembering that I can no longer stand up straight when I get on and off the tractor.

The canopy is incredibly rigid, no flexing or twisting or any movement of any kind, it's just really wierd to sit in the seat and have this thing over my head where there used to be open sky.
It started to rain just as I was putting in the last of the four mounting bolts, so the lights aren't hooked up yet.
I am also going to move the mirror that is now mounted on the FEL post and move it up onto the corner of the canopy for increased visibility.

For a tractor thats 14 years old with 2060 hours, I am very pleased with it. Although it to, shows some signs of normal wear and tear, it is clean, tight and runs like a champ

Thanks, and yes it is a geared tractor.
In a year or so after I have it paid off, I am thinking I will sell it or trade it in towards a TC35D which will give my the Hydro transmission I would like, amongst other things.
When I bought the tractor 1 year ago, it had just received a new clutch, but it still needed some things. None of the lights worked, which turned out to be bad bulbs and unplugged wires. It needed a new seat and new front tires and the JD medallion and plastic trim around the headlights was broken.
I have the new medallion and plastic trim, I just haven't installed them yet. At times some of the little stuff seems trivial, but to me, repairing / replacing these little items helps keep the integrity and value of the tractor up to snuff as well as looking better.
