peas/beans have sprouted. Will dose it up with another round of Poconite. Didn't see one deer track where we put the Poconite. Place is usually riddled with them as they come out the thick pines and into the grassy area.

That said, I was wondering about putting an "idiot" light for when the brake is applied. I've found myself on several occasions riding around with the brake engaged. Even after mentally telling myself to remember it is on (luckily, it isn't on a whole lot as ground is flat), I still drive a hundred feet or more before realizing it is on. Anyone ever attempted anything like this?

Did a little burning yesterday...

Pulled some smallish pines out with the loader...it's amazing how much pressure some of those things can take.

Here's a cool shot after dumping some of the pines on the fire.

Haven't been doing much in all this heat, lately (finally getting some good rains, though), but am in the process of having about 10-12 telephone poles (~40' or so) delivered out there for free :)

Hoping to start a pole barn/shed when it cools off this fall/winter.

I'm not that far from you. Do you mind my asking where you got the poles? I've been thinking of getting some myself. I need to do an equipment shed and thought if I could find 8 or 10 old poles I could put one up fairly easy.

SCE&G usually gives them away when they have them is what I understand. I say that because my father handled it and kind of knew a guy who knew a guy and I think that might be why they are dropping them off. We're in the process of talking to them about putting power out there (running it underground) and that is how this came up.

I'll try to remember to see if I can get the number for you in the AM.

Where abouts are you? My father spent a lot of time in Cottageville in his youth. Our last name is Youmans, if that helps any. Our property is pretty much across the street from Cooler's Dairy and 17A/Cottageville Hwy. Property has the cell tower on it.

We're off of Burr Hill Road. Down Chester Lane right across from the Head Start School. I thought about trying to contact SCE&G also. I use to let them dump the mulching on my property to use around trees and on paths.

Only thing I really know about Cottageville is 35mph and Subway :)
I'm pretty sure it is a first come, first serve type basis as we called a few times in about a month or so trying to get some.

Don't forget about the speed traps! You better be doing EXACTLY the speed limits when going through. They will get you and the since it's a city ticket, they have some high prices that they have set.

This was kind of a freebie, so to say. We bought a BEFCO T40 158(?) Tiller and this Sitrex finish mower for $650 from a buddy. Good bit of rust on this guy so we just wire brushed as much as possible and put some new paint on it. Nothing spectacular, by any means, but from a distance, it'll look good!

and, of course, a cold beer (or 6) should be enjoyed while painting this masterpiece :D

THAT my friend is NOT a beer... That's a Michelob Ultra!!! Wife drinks it... NOT that I'm saying anything more about the subject. As I drink a CBC Porter which has as many Carbs./calories in ONE beer as compared to a six pack of those. :D

Everything looks good...

Edit... just looked up your town. Late 80's, I think it was Hugo (?) did a bunch of work with the US Forest Circus in Frances Marion Nation Forest... nice place, would like to go back and see how things turned out.

Acme, still waiting on the poles to be dropped off, but was wondering if you've tried to contact SCE&G yet. Pops is waiting to make sure we get ours before giving out any info...he doesn't want to jinx anything. He gets like that sometimes. I do know that the poles are supposedly located down near Jellicos. I forget the name of the road, though, so if they have extra, that may be a good location for you.

Now, here's the tiller we bought. Not much rust on it, just faded paint so we did this one MF red as well.
