Although Scallops are found most evertwhere, the only place that I have scalloped is the Gulf coast of Florida. I did it in two ways. Snorkling and feeling them on the bottom with your toes and bare feet. Scallops don't like sandy bottom. They prefer the grass flats. Just look for two shells together. They don't look like Oysters. In case you aren't aware, don't ever walk around an Oyster bed with bare feet. The outcome on your feet will be cuts and severe slashes. I will get back with you. BTW, Scallops are animals and they can swim, They don't propel themselves like Crawdads do. I've never had scallops in a Crabtrap. Carry a mesh bag with you when scalloping.

Look at the decal sticker on that wire feeder. If the output is DC then definitely buy it for $75 - it is a bargain with the helmet, regulator, and bottle. If the output is AC then pass. While there is nothing wrong with an AC output stick welder, mig or flux core welding processes are both designed to be a DC only processes. In other words there is not a Mig wire or flux core wire sold designed for AC. (HF sells lots of junk wire feeders though because people think they are getting a deal...)

It has the +/- Polarity control --how is that ?

Output Current: DC
Output Polarity: DC

Not sure about GA but scallop season does not open in FL until July 1st ...may be the same in GA??
IMO they are as good raw as they are fried or broiled etc...you only eat the muscle part the rest is guts...

Stone crab season in FL is now closed (May 15th) opens again in Oct.

It's a little early for shrimp in FL...to "dip" shrimp you want an outgoing tide coming off a grass flat...IMO if you've never had fresh caught shrimp...you really don't know what a shrimp is supposed to taste like...!
[suggestion]...go to a bait shop and buy a few dozen jumbo or select live shrimp be careful not to over cook them...you'll see what I mean how good they are...

shrimp should never be "boiled"...put them in boiling water and remove from the heat until they are just opaque through and then add ice to stop the cooking process...

I know about fresh caught Shrimp...we go to Tybee Island, Ga. every year for 35+ yrs. now and we buy head on shrimp right off the boat...we always bring a cooler of fresh shrimp home and will only buy shrimp in our local stores if it is Georgia caught...Most stores have the Asian farm raised shrimp and they don't even have a taste..so I know what you mean... We aren't equipped to try and get any scallops...and we don't have a clue how to dip for shrimp...no boat down there and no shrimp nets like those big shrimp boats have... I always joke with my Mrs. ...If she ever kicks me out ...I will go to work on a Shrimp boat...that has always intrigued me..
