Although Scallops are found most evertwhere, the only place that I have scalloped is the Gulf coast of Florida. I did it in two ways. Snorkling and feeling them on the bottom with your toes and bare feet. Scallops don't like sandy bottom. They prefer the grass flats. Just look for two shells together. They don't look like Oysters. In case you aren't aware, don't ever walk around an Oyster bed with bare feet. The outcome on your feet will be cuts and severe slashes. I will get back with you. BTW, Scallops are animals and they can swim, They don't propel themselves like Crawdads do. I've never had scallops in a Crabtrap. Carry a mesh bag with you when scalloping.
