Finally Brought Her Home!!!

Well I finally brought my new NX5510 home and even but it to work. Wow , very nice and a nice step up from my open station kubota. Here is a couple of pics even a poser shot.

Thanks, yes the kubota I've used so much that it's just like a extension of my hand , the new one will take a little seat time to get a smooth handle on it.

No it's a rear view two camera system, I have the one on front for bucket and forks and one mounted out the back glass to see implements on the tree point. Yes I built that out of EMT conduit that I had in the shop, it's mounted to the dump. Linkage so it follows the bucket as it's moved.

No I don't shoot any video , it's just to use for seeing what I'm doing a bit better and easier. The cameras are cheap amazon ones and so is the monitor. I have less than 60 in the setup. Once I see if I like having it and use it a lot I may upgrade the cameras and monitor.

If I mounted something like that it'd be gone a minute into one of my trips into the woods. How are you going to protect it?

Really not sure yet as to how well it's going to hold up, that's why I bought a 18 dollar camera and used a scrape piece of emt to mount it to.

Added a "tool box" today, location works out real nice for getting to stuff while hooking up or even getting something while setting in the seat and opening the rear window.

Country, I'm bumping this thread to see how you like your mounting system for your FEL camera now that you've been using it for a few months. I'm finally getting around to installing the FEL camera I bought for the back-up camera system on my NX. I've followed with interest what Waxman, Bumperm and you have done. Have you upgraded your EMT design? Are you happy with the angled view it gives you of the bucket? Bumperm mounted his camera so it's centered on the bucket, which is a great idea but a bit more involved.

Yes I've been pleased with the mount placement, the only issue is it's not as detailed of a view as waxmans bucket pick, not sure if it's the wide angle or just the cheap camera or both. Still It's really useful and I do plan on buying a better camera now that I've used it and like having it. As for the emt mount I still am using it and it's actually held up really good no issues yet. The new camera will have tilt and swivel mount so if I need to change the angle or swivel it left of right , my cheap one doesn't.

Thanks! I think I'm going to go with your mounting location. Seems to me the camera stalk will be slightly less vulnerable there than midway between the loader arms. I do like Waxman's design for allowing disconnection for easy removal -- very clever, as are all of his mods.

Well I hit the 100 hr Mark today.

It finally happen yesterday, I maxed the loader out, I had to unload and move 2 pallets of bagged rock. Each pallet weighed approximately 3300 lbs, I was able to lift them about 20-24 inches off the ground.
