filter cross reference

I have a CC2165 with the 16 HP Vanguard engine. The CC dealer is way out of my way and I need to change the oil and filter. Does anyone know of a Purolator or Wix filter instead of the dealer version? The search function wasn't any help on this. Thanks, Gene

It looks like the Briggs # is 492932S, it crosses on the Wix website to a Wix 57035.

I have 18 vanguard I use JD filters JD Part# am125424 the small filter cost about $6.50. and cub cadet tranny filter JD part#Am39653 cost is about $7.00 hope this will save you some money!

I bought the Wix filter at O'Rielly's...It cost $10.xx. I was surprised that it was so high. Thanks for the tip. I'll stick the number in my wallet in case I pass a JD store.
