Filter Cross Reference #s For L3130

I couldn't tell you. For me it's a matter of convenience. I usually order my filters, etc. in advance online (OEM). However if I need something immediately, I'll purchase locally through NAPA as it's a 170 mile round trip to my closest Kubota dealer.

I am glad to get this information. I did a search about a year ago and did not find any WIX or NAPA filters then. Did I mess up or are these newly available or certified?

The web-site x-ref may be new, however the availiity within NAPA isn't. I know people who have been using them for Kubota and other tractors for several years.

Update:
I called around to a few local auto parts stores and, as expected, most could not x-ref the Kub oil filter; however, one did. (Did not call NAPA. Will try them to see if they have one. Thanks for the site info.)

Carquest was able to sell me a Wix filter and I used it last night. Physically, it's an exact copy of the OEM and since I've had good service from Wix filters, I expect it to perform very well too.

Cost was about $8, which is very close to the price of the OEM, but is definitely a savings for me since the Kub dealer is out of the way.

L3130 oil filter = Kub 70000-74035 = WIX 85311

Thanks to all that responded.

Anyone x-ref a tranny/hydraulic or fuel filter from either Wix or NAPA?

All the filters for the L3130 (as are most other Kubota products), including air filters, fuel and hydraulic filters are x-ref'd on the NAPA site with the exception of the HST filter. Also, FYI - I checked on the box of the NAPA Gold Oil Filter (#1311) -- it states that it exceeds OEM specifications and does not void Manufacturer Warranty. I would imagine WIX, or any other quality filter would warrant the same. I really don't think there's great variance in price than with OEM. Especially if you order OEM online. R/David

Wix manufactures Napa filters as well as others. The Wix- Napa numbers are identical except for the first digit on Wix. For example on a common automotive oil filter the Wix number would 51372 and the Napa number would be 1372. Wix air filters begin with 4, fuel with a 3 and oil with a 5. We use a ton of Wix where I work and I use them on our Kubota's. Sometimes if it is a new filter you are stuck using oem for awhile. Right now we have a JD that is that way. Good Luck, Brian
