NewHolland TC30 2006
Hi all, new member here.

Just purchased my first tractor.

an 06 Newholland TC30 with a 7308 Loader.

Just had some questions etc. on Oil filters and whatnot.

I've already looked at the new holland filters and cross referenced them all.

I plan on using wix filters for the fuel, air and hydraulic.

for the oil i cross referenced over to a Motorcraft filter as they are a very reputable oil filter made my Purolator.

Being a big Ford guy i use the Motorcraft Oil filters exclusively.

now for the oil I plan on using Rotella 10w30 diesel oil which can be found for roughly 11 or 12 bucks at a local menards.

I've already read numerous posts on how is a good idea to use the New Holland Brand Ambra for hydraulic oil because of its specification etc.

For grease i'm undecided, probably use Mystik or Rotella multipurpose unless someone else has a better recommendation

So what are your thoughts?

anyone else using filter product variation or are a lot of you only using factory oem specified filters and oil etc.

Thanks for your time, I'm sure i'll be on here a lot :D

I use Napa/Wix filters almost exclusively when available, and have for years. I'm more of a Delo 15w/40 user but can't knock Rotella. As far as hydraulic oil, I haven't found any reason to not use any universal tractor hydraulic oil over the dealers inflated price hydraulic oils. Of course I have no scientific way of proving that they do or don't work as well, only 23 years of being around this type of equipment.

yeah i don't use Wix/Napa filters often, but they are very reputable as well and since i can order them all online for an ok price, why not.

as far as the oil portion goes it says 10w30 or 10w40 CD oil

well i've never in my life seen 10w40 diesel oil.

i would imagine it would probably be ok to run 15w40 in it, but in the winter most likely no.

so i will probably just put 10w30 Rotella in it, since its readily available and a decent price.

I haven't seen any other diesel oil in a 10w30 in this area besides Rotella and Mystik or Farm-rated.

so anyways we'll see.

as far as the Hydraulic oil goes, i'll just use the Ambra for now until i hear something otherwise or just say to **** with it.

and hey thanks for the input :)

Will not use the WIX cross reference because of flaws in it, for 3 of my Kubotas they are listing incorrect inline fuel filters, the WIX 33972 is just a screen where the Kubota 12581-43012 is paper and blocks water.
Be careful what you cross to for many of the Hydrostatic filters there is not a good cross and OEM is only solution.

:welcome: to TBN!
Tell us a bit about yourself! What part of the country you from, has a lot to do with which oil weight to use.
There is a lot of knowledge here at TBN that we all can tap into.
Good bunch of :tractor: enthusiast (nuts) here. Sounds like you are well on your way in deciding which oil, filter, and grease you will be using.
