Yesterday, I put my tractor into H range and set out on the road. I noticed a decided rythmic bump coming from the road ride. I am thinking this is because the rear tires are filled (beet juice)?

Anyone else notice this? Is this the juice trying to stay level in the tires at 8 mph?

OR .. loose lug not? bad tire/wheel?

Only 91 hours on R4s ...

Was she settin' for any lenght of time before the ride?

If my NH 7610s sets for more than a day or so, when i fire her up and run down the road, the first.. oh.. mile or two will be bumpy till the tires warm up.

I -think- the tires develop a flat spot on one side from setting up...

That's my guess anyway. I know after driving the 4 miles.. mowing 1.5 hours and then driving home.. the tires roll real smooth on the 4 mile trip home...

Chris ... I didn't ride her far or long enough to validate. I will take your notion however and give it a try.

I noticed this in warmer weather also but the dealer said it was because the rears were filled.

I'll try a longer trip ...

What you described is classic for a flat spot on the tire from stitting. Much more apparent when parked on cement or other hard surface. Not as noticeble when the weather is warmer. Nothing to be concerned about.

I would also make sure the tires were filled to the proper level. If the fluid is just to the top of the rim it seems to help it roll smoother.

Sounds like a flat spot to me to. Same thing I get in a antique panel truck I have that still has bias ply tires on it. It will shake the snot out of you for the first couple miles. Nothing quite like riding on square tires. :)

The tires on my TN are RimGuard filled and I don't notice this issue.

I only park on dirt, so I guess the flat spotting isn't going to bite me. The only time I have ever had a rythmic bump, it was loose lug nuts. The center to the hub as well as the center to the rim. Never trust the lug nuts that put on the lug nuts!
