Quick Update: Finally had some time to put the new pump on and run the tractor for some time cutting a small field down by the road. Tractor ran great. Looks like I had fuel pump go bad, my guess is maybe some type of debris in the fuel tank got sucked into the pump and maybe put a small tear in one of the diaphragms. Who knows. Anyways thought I would update everyone just in case someone else runs across this issue. BTW...407 hours on the tractor.

So in the end, it was simply a bad fuel pump, and replacement solved the problem. Many of us thought it was perhaps bad fuel, fuel tank restrictions or possibly fuel line restrictions. I guess you still needed to check those off as potential problems, before moving on down to the fuel pump. Job well done and thanks for updating everyone.

I fought the same type of problem with my cs2410. It would finely wouldn't idle and I couldn't hear the electric fuel pump running, pulled it off and torn into it and was able to solder the wire and worked okay for two months and then started run okay for 10 min or so and then slow to a 1000rpm for 20 or 30 seconds and speed up. New fuel filter and run much better. Old filter would not gravity flow at all. Intermit wire contact in the fuel pump acted a lot like the pugged filter. Glad yours is back running.
